Faculty of Management Sciences is putting it’s acts together to kick start supply chain and logistics management degree programme in its Business Administration Department.

Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Dr. Emmanuel Olatoye, disclosed this in an exclusive interview with Unilag Sun.

“In my department; the department of Business administration, we are working towards developing a curriculum in supply chain and logistics management”, he said.

A supply chain is a network of businesses and activities that takes a product from raw material suppliers to end consumers. By definition, logistics refers to the processes of acquiring, transporting, and storing resources along the supply chain.

He explained that the department wants it that way because the business administration world has progressed in that area. “That is the area the world is moving towards now and we also need not to be stagnant”, he explained.

Dr. Olatoye also stated that the curriculum update will be done in collaboration with a foreign firm ready to sponsor the programme.

“When the curriculum is developed and it is approved by the University, then we are going to get the support of other organizations that are based outside the country”, he added.
