A professor at the University of Lagos, Professor Tunde Ope Davies, has brought yet another honor to the school after winning a visiting professorship award in Germany.
The Professor who is in the Department of English and the Director of the Center for Digital Humanities UNILAG (CEDHUL), was given this award by the Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation’s Alumni Sponsorship and Network programs supported by the Federal Republic of Germany.
This award allows Ope Davies to conduct his research project titled “Digital political multilingualism in Nigeria” at the University of Hamburg, Germany.
According to him, the research will also contribute to his ongoing national project on the use of digital technology in Nigeria’s democracy.
The research project was sponsored by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), University of Lagos.
