Mr David Motunrayo Omotosho, an experienced principal security official, has been appointed as the new Coordinator of the Security Unit at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). This announcement was made by the university’s Communication Unit yesterday.
His appointment, approved by Professor Folasade Ogunsola, the Vice-Chancellor of UNILAG, is for a duration of one year or when a substantive Chief Security Officer (CSO) gets appointed.
Professor Ogunsola congratulated Mr Omotosho on his appointment and wished him a successful tenure on behalf of the University Community.
This new appointment of an experienced official is expected to improve the safety and security of the university’s campus, which is recognised as one of the safest in the country.
