The University of Lagos (UNILAG) management has notified all its stakeholders and the general public of a temporary shutdown on all university servers.
The servers were shut down following a technical glitch which occurred late on Monday, August 28, 2023.
This information was broadcast in a press release distributed across all of the institution’s social media platforms.
It reads, “The University of Lagos Management wishes to notify all its stakeholders and general public that the university servers have been temporarily shut down following a technical glitch which occurred late on Monday, August 28, 2023.
“Please be assured that the University is working assiduously to ensure that the situation is resolved as soon as possible. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. Thank you.”
Checks by this newspaper showed that the university’s official website, the student portal, and also the school of postgraduate studies portal failed to load as of press time.
