The excitement was palpable as MCSA Sports Day commenced at 1:30 p.m, Wednesday 3, 2024. Participants eagerly indulged in various indoor games, transforming the classes into an arena of competition and camaraderie. Colleagues became champions, newcomers became ninjas, and the air was filled with excitement.
From the mind-bending puzzles of Scrabble to the ultimate Whot showdown, the game of wealth and wisdom (Monopoly) to the game of cowries and wit (Ayó), and from the strategic Draft board game (checkers) to the fast-paced Video game tournament, every moment was a highlight to teamwork, strategy, and determination.
Luke, Moyo, Fortunatus, and Jumoke engaged in an exciting game of Scrabble, while Moses, Ibrahim, Habeeba, Tobi, and Goodnews kept everyone on edge with an intense game of Monopoly. The boys busied themselves with various video games and an action-packed movie, with Ayomide emerging as the winner of the draft board game.
Participants also played FIFA, Ludo, Chess, and card games. The card games were particularly intense as they tried to outsmart each other with strategy, luck, and quick thinking. Eventually, Taiwo emerged victorious, hitting the jackpot first.
As the indoor games wrapped up at 4:30 p.m., all eyes turned towards the much-anticipated Finalist Cup. Despite a slight delay due to harsh weather, it finally kicked off, with nine fierce competitors battling it for the top spot: Sam, Oba, Ajisafe, Femi, Isaac, Nature, Dvj, Sir K, and Juwon. The match was intense, with both sides giving it their all. It ended in a tie, leading to a rematch scheduled for the following day.
As the curtain fell on MCSA Sports Day, participants dispersed into the night, carrying memories of intense competition and heart-pumping excitement that would last a lifetime.
