The immediate past Head of Department, Mass Communication, UNILAG, Professor Abigail Ogwezzy-Ndisika has become a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Professor Abigail Ogwezzy who is also a British Chevening Scholar amongst streams of scholarships became a Fellow of the Public Relations body yesterday.
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, FAS, and the university community congratulate the Public Relations Doyen on the feat achieved.
Professor Ogwezzy is well known for her uprightness, diligence, hard work, and commitment, all of which are proof of her successful administration as the department’s H.O.D.
The Communications for Development Specialist has also won several grants for research, fellowships and conferences in and outside her field.
Prof. Ogwezzy continues to remain a member of several professional bodies which include Associate Registered Practitioner of Advertising (arpa); member, Network on Behavioural Research for Child Survival in Nigeria (NETBRECSIN); member, Association of Communication Scholars & Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN); African Council for Communication Education (ACCE); Association of Women in Development (AWID); Association for Promoting Nigerian Languages and Culture (APNILAC); and International Association for Mass Communication Research (IAMCR).
