UNILAG to Begin Post-UTME Registration July 28

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially announced the Post-UTME registration excercise for undergraduate students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The online screening exercise has been scheduled to run from Monday, July 28 to Wednesday August 20, 2025, for candidates seeking admission into all undergraduate programmes.

To be eligible, applicants must have chosen UNILAG as their first choice in the 2025 UTME and must have scored 200 and above. In addition, they are expected to have at least five credit passes in relevant O’level subjects including English and Mathematics at one sitting.

The following are the conditions given by the university management to be considered for admission:

  • Only those who upload their O’level results on or before September 12, 2025, will be considered.
  • Candidates below 16 years of age as of September 30 are not eligible to apply.
  • Anyone who fails to participate in the online Post-UTME test will automatically not be considered.
  • Registration must be done with a valid and personal email address, which will serve as the main communication channel with the university.
  • Former students whose admissions were withdrawn for poor performance or absence may reapply, but only for a different course. However, expelled students are not eligible for admission.

The total fee for the application and administrative process is ₦5,500 (₦2,000 for the application and ₦3,500 admin charge).

How to register:

  1. Visit www.unilag.edu.ng
  2. Click on Admissions then Post-UTME Application
  3. Log in with your UTME number and use your surname in lowercase as the password
  4. Generate and print the payment advice
  5. Pay at any commercial bank or online
  6. Return to the portal, complete your screening form, and print your exam pass

Mock exams for interested candidates has however been scheduled to hold from August 25th- 27th, while the post-UTME online aptitude test will run from September 1st to 5th, 2025.

The university warns that it has zero tolerance for drug abuse. Any admitted student who tests positive, whether before or after registration, will have their admission withdrawn.

Applicants are therefore advised to follow the guidelines carefully.
