The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the commencement of supplementary admission applications into its School of Foundation Studies (SFS) for the 2026/2027 academic session, offering opportunity for prospective students seeking admission into the programme.

In a notice released on October 2, 2026, the university noted that the sale of supplementary application forms would run from October 5-23, 2026.

It added that the entrance examination is scheduled to hold on Saturday, October 31.

According to the university’s admission guidelines, applicants must possess at least five credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics and three relevant subjects, obtained in one sitting in WAEC, NECO or other recognised examinations.

The application process requires candidates to visit the university’s application portal, complete a pre-application form to obtain a Payment Reference Number (PRN) and make the required payment before completing the main application.

The institution said the application fee is N35,000, excluding bank charges, and is non-refundable.

Candidates are advised to carefully review the available subject combinations to ensure they align with their intended courses of study.

The university said the entrance examination will be conducted as a computer-based test, comprising multiple-choice questions in English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects based on each candidate’s chosen combination.

The institution added that admission into undergraduate programmes is subject to approved admission capacity, as passing the JUPEB examination does not automatically guarantee admission into a candidate’s preferred course.

UNILAG urged interested applicants to complete their applications within the stipulated period and prepare adequately for the entrance examination.

The SFS runs an intensive one-year programme under the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) syllabus. Successful candidates may qualify for Direct Entry admission into the 200-level of degree programmes at UNILAG through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), as well as opportunities at selected universities in Nigeria and abroad.
