The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has activated its online portal for fee payment for returning students for the 2024/2025 session. Students can now access the online portal to get a full breakdown of fees for the new session.
Although students can now access the online portal–and the fees for the new session, students are advised not to make payments yet.
Some reasons for this are that the portal may not be fully operational, and the university has not made a formal announcement regarding the development.
Last year, undergraduate obligatory fees were increased from ₦19,000 to ₦100,750 for non-lab programs, ₦140,250 for lab and studio-based programs, and ₦190,250 for College of Medicine students.
According to UNILAG Vice-Chancellor Professor Folashade Ogunsola, the fee hike was necessary due to troubling economic conditions in the country and challenges in covering rising electricity bills.
