Professor Ademola Ayodele Oremosu of the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine, University of Lagos (CMUL) has been appointed as the 16th Provost of the College.
The appointment of Prof. Oremosu as the Provost-Elect was subsequent to the election held on November 28th, 2024 at the college.
He will formally assume the role of the Provost on January 2nd, 2025 as he will take over from Prof. David Adewale Oke, whose tenure ends on December 31st, 2024.
The approval of the election report was received and considered during a special meeting by the University Governing Council on December 5th, 2024.
Prof. Oremosu’s tenure is effective for a period of two years, and scheduled to end on December 31st, 2026.
On behalf of UNILAG, Senate, Management, Staff and Students, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Folashade Ogunsola congratulated Prof. Oremosu on his appointment and wished him a successful tenure.
