CBN Governor to deliver UNILAG 51st convocation lecture

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele is billed to deliver the 51st convocation lecture of the University of Lagos.

The university management made this known yesterday in a release of the line up of activities for the convocation ceremony set to hold between June 30th – July 8th.

The convocation lecture, titled, “National development and knowledge economy in the digital age: leapfrogging SME’s into the 21st century” will be delivered by the CBN governor on the third day of the convocation ceremonies at the J.F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium.

According to the release, a press conference that will herald the convocation has been slated to hold on Wednesday June 30.

Other activities outlined for the week include a special Jumat service on Friday, July 2nd and a Thanksgiving service on Sunday, July 4th.

The release added that the award of first and postgraduate degrees across various faculties would hold from Tuesday July 6 to Wednesday July 7.

Recall that Unilag Sun reported that the 51st convocation ceremonies earlier slated to hold between February 24th & 25th, 2021 was postponed in compliance with the Federal Government’s COVID-19 protocol.
