UNILAG Foundation Studies Entrance Exam Holds September 5

The University of Lagos School of Foundation Studies has fixed Saturday, September 5, 2026, for its entrance examination.

The examination, administered by the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB), will be held at the Distance Learning Institute (DLI) and the Adetokunbo Babatunde Sofoluwe Centre for Information Technology and Systems (ABS-CITS) within the University.

According to a statement released by the School, the Computer-Based Test (CBT) will last 45 minutes and comprise 85 multiple-choice questions.

Mathematics and English Language are compulsory subjects, with 20 questions each, while the remaining 45 questions will be drawn from three subjects relevant to candidates’ intended courses of study.

Candidates whose subject combinations include Mathematics as a primary subject are required to select Further Mathematics for the examination.

The management noted that admission into undergraduate programmes of the University is subject to the approved quota for each programme, stressing that success in the examination does not automatically guarantee admission into a candidate’s preferred course.

It also stated that the Foundation Studies programme operates strictly as a non-residential programme and currently has no facilities for visually impaired students.

The School further reiterated its zero-tolerance policy on anti-social behaviours, including drug abuse, sexual harassment, cultism, cybercrime, examination malpractice, and indecent dressing.
