The Dean of Student Affairs of the University of Lagos, Professor Musa Obalola, has reassured freshmen to remain calm as the university management works a way out on their academic calendar.
This is coming amidst ongoing worries over the delayed commencement of lectures and nearing examination dates. The Dean revealed this in an interview with UNILAG Sun on Monday, January 6, 2025.
Prof. Obalola acknowledged the current situation of things, adding that the management is working on a new academic and exam schedule to accommodate the peculiar challenges faced by freshmen.
“The university is quite obvious of the situation that they are in now”, the DSA said. “We know that some of them are still doing their registration and have not also started lectures. There’s no need to panic. It’ll be taken into consideration, and their exam will also not come in February.”
On the release of more information on the new academic schedule, Prof. Obalola added that additional details will be made available after a meeting with the university provost and deans on Thursday 9th.
Freshmen are advised to remain patient and stay updated through UNILAG Sun news channels for new developments after the Thursday meeting.
