JCIN UNILAG SET TO HOST ITS ANNUAL ORGANIZATION WEEK

The Junior Chamber International Nigeria, University of Lagos, is set to mark its organization week tagged JCIN UNILAG Week”. The initiative, which will be held from Monday, 23rd to Saturday, 28th June 2025, will entail a series of impactful events spanning across the entire week.

In partnership and collaboration with reputable organizations such as Lagos State Blood Transfusion Services (LSBTS), Rotaract Club of Lagos, Web3UNILAG, Nigerian Red Cross Society, UNILAG, Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative (MANI), AIESEC in Lagos, and Pocari Sweat, the week seeks to be one full of knowledge, impact, fun, and entertainment, with its lineup of events.

With the week kick-starting with the publicity walk on 23rd June 2025, JCIN UNILAG members will rally across the campus, spreading the gospel of the organization as well as creating awareness by sharing flyers about mental health and the mental health awareness webinar provided by the Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative (MANI), one of the partners, slated for Tuesday, 24th June 2025.

The mental health webinar, themed “Navigating Adulthood: Building Your Future While Prioritizing Your Mental Health,” is a virtual meeting set to hold on Google Meet by 6 p.m. It promises to be educational and eye-opening as the panel sessions boast reputable mental health professionals such as Dr. Kareem Abigail Abidemi, a lecturer of Educational Psychology in the Faculty of Education, UNILAG, and Adelore Aisha, a clinical psychologist and assistant psychologist at MANI.

The third day, 25th June 2025, will witness the organization’s Inter-Faculty Debate, where different faculties across the university will showcase their pragmatic, mooting, and speaking prowess as they debate issues surrounding artificial intelligence and the future of learning.

Following the debate will be the organization’s General Assembly and Induction Ceremony of new members into JCIN UNILAG on Thursday, 26th June, 2025. The General Assembly and induction proceedings will allow new members who have gone through the conventional training and entry exercises to become bona fide members of the organization. The General Assembly is open to both members and non-members.

In the middle of the week, the organization will also be hosting a Blood Drive, and Wellness Check-Up Day on Friday, 27th June, 2025. The event, which will be held at the Access Bank Park, is aimed at raising awareness for blood donation and encouraging students of the University of Lagos to donate blood, as well as carry out wellness checkups.

Still on good health and body fitness, the week will close with sporting events on Saturday, 28th June, 2025. The organization will be organizing different sporting activities ranging from athletics to field events, aimed at promoting body fitness, fun, and entertainment. The University of Lagos Sports Center will be ready to host the fun-filled day by 10:00 a.m.

JCIN UNILAG Week 2025 isn’t just a string of events, it’s a celebration of leadership, service, and youthful energy. With a rich mix of education, wellness, debate, and fun, the event promises to leave an indelible mark on all attendees.
