The Department of Computer Science at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), in collaboration with the African Studies Centre, University of Michigan, U.S.A., will host a five-day interactive workshop for Early Career Researchers (ECRs). The event will be held at the Sustainable Procurement Environment and Social Standards (SPESS) Building, located at UNILAG.
Themed “Building Academic Research Writing Capacity in Nigerian Universities,” the workshop will address research-related issues, including creating a research space, maintaining a clear and consistent argument, writing for different audiences, framing local research for international readers, and negotiating knowledge claims.
Dr. Christine Feak, a respected facilitator from the University of Michigan, USA, will be present to educate participants on various learning and skill enhancement opportunities.
The event promises to be a valuable learning opportunity for early-career researchers, postgraduate students and all those seeking to enhance their academic writing skills for publication and scholarly engagement.
