The University of Lagos (UNILAG), and seven other institutions on Saturday, 2nd September 2023, took part in the PLAYBALL charity event at the Campus mini stadium, Lagos.
The event saw eight universities -private and public- compete for the bragging rights of the day.
UNILAG took on Afe Babalola University(ABUAD), an Ekiti state-based private university, and snatched a 2-1 win.
Razak Adetoro, a 300-level student of the Department of Business Administration, scored a brace to give UNILAG the win.
In the next round, UNILAG came up against Bells University but were outdone by the side from Ota, losing two goals to one with Razak scoring again for UNILAG. Bells University would go on to win the competition.
The organisers of the event seeing the success have decided to make it a regular event and to create avenues for more universities to partake in the event to foster better relationships among students across Nigerian Universities.
