The University of Lagos (UNILAG) officially closed its 2026/2027 Direct Entry (DE) application portal on Thursday, October 15, concluding a month of registration extensions.
Following the closure, the university warned that any late course change on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) will not be acknowledged.
The Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mrs V. Abosede Wickliffe, stated in a release made on October 14 that any course change effected on JAMB CAPS after the October 15 deadline will not be considered during the admission selection exercise.
The registration portal initially opened on September 9 with an initial deadline set for September 22.
The university subsequently extended the closing date to September 29, and then to October 6, before announcing the final October 15 closure.
During the application window, candidates were required to register through the university’s portal and pay a ₦3,500 fee.
Eligible candidates must possess five O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects at one sitting, including English Language and Mathematics, along with relevant A’level results required for their desired course.
