UNILAG Sets Criteria for 2025 Undergraduate Admission Screening

By Precious Kuforiji

‎The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has set qualifying criteria for applicants seeking admission into UTME undergraduate programs for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to the university’s registrar, Mrs Abosede Wickliffe, she revealed in a statement on Friday, July 25 that applicants must have selected UNILAG as their first-choice institution, scored above 200 in the UTME, and obtained at least five credit passes in one sitting in O’Level subjects, including English and Mathematics.

“The candidates must have equally uploaded their O/Level results by Friday, September 12, 2025, and must be up to 16 years old by 30th September 2025, as any candidate below such age need not apply,” she said.

Speaking further, she mentioned that former students whose admissions were withdrawn solely due to poor academic performance or absenteeism may reapply, while those who were expelled will no longer be considered for admission.

Mrs. Wickliffe noted that all registration details are available for candidates on the university’s website, while also pointing out that the institution has zero tolerance for any candidate tested positive for drug use, even after admission has been given, as the univershas the right to withdraw the admission of such candidate.
