Computer Science Department Partners With University Of Michigan To Hold 5-Day Workshop

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), in collaboration with the African Studies Centre, University of Michigan, U.S.A., will host a five-day interactive workshop for Early Career Researchers (ECRs).  The event will be held at the Sustainable Procurement Environment and Social Standards (SPESS) Building, located at UNILAG.  

‎Themed “Building Academic Research Writing Capacity in Nigerian Universities,” the workshop will address research-related issues, including creating a research space, maintaining a clear and consistent argument, writing for different audiences, framing local research for international readers, and negotiating knowledge claims.

Dr. Christine Feak, a respected facilitator from the University of Michigan, USA, will be present to educate participants on various learning and skill enhancement opportunities. 

The event promises to be a valuable learning opportunity for early-career researchers, postgraduate students and all those seeking to enhance their academic writing skills for publication and scholarly engagement.
